Fishing has always been a passion of proprietor Alex Qasabian
So together with his wife Dina, they opened Fishing Station in 2013 at its original location on Warringah Road in Frenchs Forest. The store quickly gained a following with the local angling community, both recreational and commercial. In 2014, the site was compulsorily acquired as part of the major road upgrades surrounding the construction of the Northern Beaches Hospital precinct. In 2015, Fishing Station Mona Vale was opened, at 50 Darley Street in Mona Vale.
We were able to build specialty areas for rod repairs and building, reel repairs, line spooling and custom rigging.
The much larger premises offered the opportunity to expand the store considerably. Stock ranges such as fly fishing and combos were increased, stocking many variations of rod and reels that previously could not be displayed. By far the largest expansion was in the service department.
